To qualify for your home financing with an FHA loan, you’ll need to keep your loan amount within the loan limit for the county where the property is located.
If you currently live in Napa county, but will be purchasing a home in Sonoma county, you will need to stay within the loan limits for Sonoma county.
This means your loan cannot exceed the amounts listed in the chart below, depending on your location, and which type of property you’re buying.
Keep in mind these are loan limits, not maximum purchase price limits.
Your purchase price will include a down payment. Your down payment plus your loan amount will equal the price you’ve agreed to pay the seller.
FHA loan limits differ from conventional loan limits. FHA loan limits are often lower. If you need more flexibility or purchasing power, you can see conventional loan limits by visiting the conventional loan limit page.
